First of all, don’t read this while you’re driving. Don’t text your children about this either. Sit down and talk about it at home. Among drivers 30 and under, only 36 percent are very concerned about the dangers of distracted driving.
That’s according to a recent Consumer Reports survey, which also found that 63 percent of respondents under age 30 reported using a handheld phone while driving in the past 30 days, and that 30 percent of them texted while driving during the same period.
